One of my favourite places to go on any sunny weekend afternoon is the beautiful wine farm Constantia Glen. It’s located in Constantia (hence the name), which is the oldest wine producing region in South Africa dating back to 1685. We go there so often we know most of the waiters by name and are always guaranteed to get a table on even their busiest days. What I love is the ambiance of the place, you can’t help but feel relaxed as you gaze at the picturesque views of the vineyards and the mountains beyond while sipping on their superb selection of wine. We love it so much it was even where my husband proposed! Not only are their wines to die for (especially their champagne), but their food lives up to their well known reputation. The menu boasts delicious contemporary European cuisine that saturates the taste buds with flavour. They also provide a selection of cheese and charcuterie boards to keep the hunger pangs at bay if you aren’t going to order a meal. This is definitely the place to go for a romantic date or a gathering with a group of friends!
Be sure to pay them a visit.
